Composer's
Remarks
|
|

I was born in York,
Pennsylvania, compose music, and have a profound interest in the Arts.
I became interested in the Arts during the early years of my
childhood. I devoted much of my time drawing and painting.
By age 17, I was the recipient of the National Scholastic Art & Writing
Achievement Award for painting. |

My father, fondly known as "Skip" Carr,
was a jazz guitarist and played with many great musicians and orchestras in the Jazz
circuit, such as... |
|
Count Basie, Frankie Scott, Lionel
Hampton, and the Ray Anthony Orchestra.
My father had a great influence on my interest in music. |
 |
I am mostly inspired by Classical and Jazz
music, consequently, my personal listening preferences tend to favor the classical and
jazz music genres. I strongly believes music to be an art form and
universal language whose medium is sound and silence.

The power of music is life changing, which expresses what words can not
articulate. |

"The common elements of music are pitch (which governs
melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation),
dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. (which are
sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound).

Depending on the music genre when composing, I include various types of instruments, and my
mood usually influences the final composition.

I don't consider myself a music performer however, I do have a passion for composing and
appreciate how each instrument affects the sound of my final composition.

My passion for music preciously renders my signature of providing different genres
to my music audience.

Ludwig van Beethoven once said, "Don't only practice your art, but force your way into
its secrets, for it and knowledge can raise men to the divine. Music is the one
incorporeal entrance into the higher world of knowledge which comprehends mankind, but which
mankind cannot comprehend.
